Nursery sent son home but he’s fine

Right I’m after people’s opinions my son’s nursery rang an hour ago saying he’s not eating, has a temp of 38.8 and sat down not doing much so can I pick him up. When I pick him up he’s literally running out of the nursery laughing, get him home and his temp is 36.6 (not given him calpol) and he’s just eaten a plate of snacks. They said he can’t go in tomorrow because of the temperature but as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t have one would you guys ring the nursery to argue it? I don’t mind keep him home if he’s actually ill but there’s nothing wrong with him apart from a sniffly nose

I would definitely be giving them a call o emailing telling them what happened when he got home and notifying he will be in tomorrow.

That’s very strange. I would call and ask what’s gone on. Keep an eye on him like you would anyway and take him back in tomorrow. How often did they check his temp? Was the room hot? Did he have layers on? To cause a high reading. What was he meant to be eating? Was it normal food? Had he eaten previous so wasn’t hungry? What did they do to try to engage him? Was he just having a quiet hour? Was he tired? Was others being noisy so wanted abit of distance? How long had they been “tracking” him for? Definitely in need of some answers if it was me.
