Have you tried to seek support from ombudsman
You can just use ACAS which is completely free but doesn't carry as much weight/threat as a solicitor. I was unfairly dismissed at 29 weeks, used Tom Street and Co Solicitors - Joanne was amazing. Got everything agreed without going to court including settlement money and a reference. I rang/emailed quite a few different no win no fee solicitors and clicked with her the best. Really felt like she was on my side and would fight for me.

Have gone to ACAS and my employers have refused to participate in early conciliation. Pregnant then screwed weren’t really helpful, apparently my employer might be one of their clients or something so they can’t help. I’ll try the lawyer you’ve mentioned @Emily thank you
My case is a bit odd, I came back from maternity leave and they changed my role. We didn’t have a limit on when we could work from home, now they want me to be out conducting 5 days of field visits so no work from home days. My back got really bad after giving birth so doing that kind of driving wasn’t an option for me. So they dismissed me for ill health reasons
They have to offer you either the same role as before or a suitable alternative so it sounds like they didn't do that! Them refusing early conciliation sounds as though they think they haven't done anything wrong and are willing for it to go to court which is rather foolish on their part if they have indeed dismissed you unfairly and have discriminated you due to pregnancy/maternity. Definitely speak to a solicitor asap! Hope everything gets sorted for you!

When I got my job back I got a fit note as I was suffering really bad with anxiety as well as Hyperemesis, then I took my annual leave & then went on Mat leave. When I returned from my mat leave the environment wasn’t as bad as I was expecting! X
If it’s work related you go through ACAS for free and if it doesn’t get resolved it will go to a tribunal x
This happened to me when I was 20 weeks pregnant with my first son. I’d been there for almost a year. I went through ACAS and appealed the dismissal. I got offered my job back at the end of it all. They were so helpful x
