Feeling so sad that my daughter will start nursery soon

I’ve been a sahm with her since she’s been born but now that we soon can use the free hours funding she will be going to nursery in the new year and I’ll be working part time. I just can’t stop feeling sad and anxious about it! Any tips on how to embrace this change and not feel so upset about it?😭 I know I’m going to miss her so much and worry about her!

My LB started nursery when my one year of maternity was up. It was rough, I had ALLLL the feels for weeks. You're absolutely allowed to feel anxious - totally normal! But, going to nursery has done my LB wonders in terms of development and socialisation. You'll start to feel better about it once she's started and you see the impact of it :) You've got this x

Honestly I felt soooo guilty having to go back to work after a year my LB cried every time I dropped him off it broke my heart! But after a week and a half he loved going and he would reach out to the workers in the morning. It was lovely to see he enjoyed it so much. He goes 3 days a week and it's so good for him and I've seen him develop in so many ways! It will be hard in the beginning but it will get better! X

Be kind to yourself. It’s a big transition for you both. I promise you it will get easier over time. I was a mess for a few weeks but it all settled down and seeing how much my daughter loves nursery made it worth it. She started when she was 8.5 months though
