Introducing cows milk

My little boy is now 11 months old and is exclusively breastfed however I am due to go back to work this month so I have started introducing cows milk and slowly stopping BF. Is there a good way to do this? We’ve only been doing this for a few days and it is not going well at all, my little one screams and pulls at me when I try to offer a bottle. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

U can mix it with formula or breast milk Sienna didn’t like the taste at first I wouldn’t dare give it til 15 months 😂😂

@Danielle he likes the taste as he will have it with meals but when I try to substitute it for a feed he kicks off making things very difficult

Just in case you didn't know, they don't HAVE to have bottles of milk over one. My little one hated it and would never have it as a drink. As long as they are having plenty of calcium rich foods like yogurts and cheese, it isn't necessary x

Also, if they're EBF and have never taken a bottle, don't introduce one now!

@Rachel thank you for your advice but bottles were introduced a while ago when he started having water and Is what he’s already having milk in. They may not have to have milk over one but it doesn’t mean it isn’t good for them. My boy is EBF and on 3 meals a day, despite them 3 meals he still has 4-5 feeds just during the day and at least 3 feeds at night, me completely stopping breasting and not providing an alternative is not in the best interests of my boy and absolutely not an option. As I’ve said above he likes the taste of the milk and has been having it with meals it’s stopping breastfeeding that I’m having trouble with.
