Pumping

Hi everyone! So I am pumping for my daughter but not breastfeeding. I tried it and it wasn’t for me. I do want to give her breastmilk so I’ve been pumping and formula feeding. I want to have a steady supply but not too much. I plan to stop in 6 months. I have the spectra and lansioh wearable pump. I noticed the wearable one I’m still not empty. I was hoping to pump every 4 hours for 15-20 min on the spectra, any advice?

You don't necessarily need to pump until you are empty unless you feel like you are getting a blocked duct or you are particularly engorged :) how much are you getting per pumping session? If you want to increase supply the best way would be to increase the frequency of pumping sessions as 6 times a day is not a lot x

I get 4oz each time I pump. I want to try to do 3 times a day but they start to get engorged

I was the same, used the spectra also, one of the breastfeeding support midwives advised just to pump up to 4oz each breast as I had a massive oversupply from when my milk came in as I'd been pumping until my breasts felt empty, struggled a bit with my breasts being engorged but that settled as my milk supply settle by about week 4/5. Hope this helps? How is the lansioh? I have the momcozy wearable and I'm not getting along with it xx
