Am I stopping breastfeeding to early????

My Daughter will be 1 years old this December and I’m try to wing her off of my breast. I might be doing something wrong because as of lately since I started winging her it’s like the only thing she wants what should I do? ( suggestions are appreciated)

Honestly I'm in the process of doing it as well. And of course only when she turns 1 she's not going to get off just like that. My daighter has never wanted a bottle so we skipped right to a sippy cup. She has slowly been getting adjusted. She definitely does not want breast milk in the cup but I'm just trying to get her acquainted with it before 1.

Wiening after a year old is dont offer and dont refuse let her nurse when she wants it but dont offer if she isn’t thinking about it. If she usually wakes up and wants the breast. Get up and out of bed away from her before she wakes up. Out of mind out of sight.

I’ve been trying to wean for the past few days and I think it’s all my daughter wants to do now. The main problem is she still nurses to sleep (comfort nursing) and I am at a lost with how to wean her off of it

@Brenda I’m in the same boat. My daughter comfort nurses to sleep and nurses a few times a night. I’ve tried to wean her but she just cries until I give in. 😫

I stopped after 2 months, whatever timeline feels best to you! It was to much stress for me and my body so I stopped

@Brenda is it good if I only do it like to put her asleep I feel like that’s when she wants it the most

That’s impressive, I stopped by the third month with all three of mine.

@Kasey Yepp! I’ve stopped breastfeeding through the day, but naps and sleep are still the struggle
