Breastfeeding while pregnant

I just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant. I have a 13month who’s still breastfeeding and was hoping to breastfeed till he turns 2. How long did you breastfeed while pregnan??

With my first babe I fell pregnant around 4m - my supply absolutely tanked so was unable to continue (I suffered HG & Covid at the time). I fell pregnant again when my second was 15m - I kept bf but for my sanity I had to stop (only 2wks ago) he’s 17m now. Only one boob was producing milk, the other changed to colostrum so was also feeding off one side only. My nips were hurting, he was biting and also still waking every 30-120mins every night. Since we stopped he’s mostly slept through. Just make sure you’re consuming enough for two growing babies and yourself! Also around 20wks they say the taste changes and some babes naturally self-wean. I hope this helps x

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and continuing to breastfeed my toddler. Not going to lie, it's been really hard but I made a commitment in my mind that I would keep going until he self weaned and that isn't going to happen anytime soon. My supply dropped at around 16 weeks but this didn't stop him from breastfeeding it just meant he was harder to get to sleep. My supply has switched over to colostrum now and he is just feeding as usual but the pain is pretty intense when he feeds. I've had to put boundaries in place with him since being pregnant and we are pretty much just feeding around sleep time- nap and nighttime sleep. I plan to tandem feed when baby is here.
