New to breastfeeding

Seriously breastfeeding has always hurt! My kid has an insanely strong latch, one LC has said he sucks like he has a tongue tie but he has no tongue tie at all. I’ve seen 4 LC’s so far. Right now my right nip hurts so bad when I nurse cross cradle, left not as bad. Any suggestions?! I’ll be going to see a different osteopath as soon as I can get in. I do not want to stop breastfeeding, he’s only two months old!

Honestly it hurts a lot at first just because your nipples are getting use to the feeling. If you feel like there is something wrong with your kids tongue such as tie, trust that feelings. If you feel like there’s nothing wrong trust that gut intuition. Definitely try to put cream on the nipples to prevent cracking. If you need to release the strong latch bc the pain is so bad you can always stick your pinky in instead of trying to just pull your nipple out. I hear nipples shield work great with soreness and pain.

@Miranda Martinez yah everyone says it gets better but it just gets worse for me. It feels like he’s half biting. I stopped for awhile to exclusively pump, I healed, and then went back to it and it’s just repeating the same cycle. The shields just gave me mastitis.
