Ibuprofen and cold pack, sunflower lecithin worked well for me too
If you have a harraka or any silicone hand pump you can put warm water with a bit of sea salt and latch it for about 20 mins
Do not pump more than usual There's nothing to get out, it's inflammation Your husband trying to suck it out will make this worse Ice packs. Ibuprofen Very very gentle lymphatic massage away from the nipple
@Justine I don’t have a harraka or any silicone hand pump unfortunately
@Aimee thanks that’s good to know
What I did was, take a hot shower and massage the crap out of the boob. It’s painful. I’d pump right after. Then, I would put warm water and epson salt in the haaka and submerge my nipple for 5 minutes. Would repeat right before a pump throughout the day, if I could. It would take me 2 days to get rid of the clog. Take the sunflower lecithin every day! This is my second pumping journey and I have not gotten a clog and it’s been almost 9 months. I only got them the first pumping journey when I would get too lazy to take it
As someone who suffered from frequent clogged ducts and recurrent mastitis - I’d agree with Aimee. Apply ice packs to your boobs and take ibuprofen. I’d wake baby up to nurse during the night every few hours if they’re sleeping through. You don’t have to use hot pack before nursing. The ducts are inflamed and swollen hence the milk cannot flow - applying hot pack will make it worse. Avoid strong massages as that can also make the inflammation worse. Keep nursing and hopefully the milk will come out once the inflammation goes down.
Thank you! I just ordered it for same day delivery
