Help! New mama here! Does wearing fitted tops cause more milk supply? Read on for more context…

I got a nursing top from Kindred Bravely, it’s super cute and is made of like stretchy exercise / yoga material. Since having my one month old, I have only worn super loose clothing around the house, I bought this too hoping to wear something more like I would have before having my baby when I go out and about. BUT I notice when I wear this nursing top my boobs seem to get… more full of milk?? or more firm?? Does wearing clothing that isn’t super loose increase milk supply or are my boobs mad at me for wearing something more fitted?

Tighter tops can limit milk flow which can lead to clogs :/ should never wear anything too restricting

Tight clothes can actually decrease your supply. In older times they would wrap a tight cloth around their chest to restrict flow and dry up. Loose is best

Tighter clothing stops your boobs from leaking during letdowns, so your milk gets stuck and will make you fuller. This actually signals to your body that it has an oversupply and to produce less milk moving forward
