Christmas budget limit?

Do you and your significant other set a budget for how much you’ll spend on each other for Christmas?

Yes because otherwise we would both go overboard on gifts so we have a limit of £200 each.

Yes. £30 to fill the stockings on the fireplace. We can put anything we like in it but it must include a bag of chocolate coins, a Terrys chocolate orange and a naff toiletry set. Silliness is encouraged. I cant remember everything I put in my husbands stocking last year but I know he got a Teenage mutant ninja turtle socks and mug 😂 Quite often I shove a piece of mistletoe right at the bottom so his last present is a kiss 💋 There is no need to go overboard for Christmas. A small budget actually makes it lots of fun.

Yeah we usually set ourselves a challenge of getting each other something under £15 😂 we put all our energy into buying gifts for the kids we’re not really bothered about ourselves

Yes, the budget is zero. We don’t buy anything for each other, we would rather use the money for days out, holidays, activities as a family. There’s nothing either of us wants or needs.

We don’t exchange gifts. We plan a kickass vacation instead
