I have ended up at the delivery suite for both my babies because of high blood pressure. The latest time this September I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and admitted for induction at 38 weeks. They ended up breaking my waters and he came naturally. They have wireless baby monitors so you can move around when in labour. I spent most of mine on the ball. They have a pool on delivery with special waterproof monitors it's just whether it is free at the time. I had hoped for midwife lead delivery for both my pregnancies but I can't fault the delivery teams. Their amazing and the midwives really go out of their way to make it the best experience. I have two healthy boys, both positive experiences. Let me know if you have any more specific questions
@Emma thank you that’s really helpful! That was my main concern, whether with the monitors I’d be confined to the bed so that’s good to know I can still move around
There is a pool in one of the rooms on delivery suite, will they let you use that?
I had a huge room on the delivery suite at the JR, so plenty of room to move about. However I also wanted to be active, when the time came I was not so keen! Epidural can limit you as well and with BP issues they might recommend it.
