Pregnant again and my baby is only 1 year old

Just looking for some reassurance, I had a c section for my first a year ago and just found out I’m pregnant again (not planned) we wanted another but we were gonna wait 18 months! Genuinely not sure how this has happened! But I’m anxious about my scar and having to have a C section again.

I got pregnant 11 months pp after an emergency c section. I had no problems and was able to have a VBAC. Just make sure they monitor you and check scar regularly x

I’m pregnant and fell pregnant 10 months pp after c section and no one has said anything to me about it being bad or dangerous xxx I was told I could try for VBAC as I only had one c section so far but iv chosen c section x

I'm pregnant again, found out at 6 months pp. I was told I could have a Vbac, but if it ends in a section again and I was to have a third baby, I'd have no choice but to have a section as the risks are too high. X

I got pregnant after an emergency section at 10 months. I was told I could try for a vbac, but I opted for a planned section due to the trauma of my first.

Firstly congratulations. Secondly I was 9months pp with my first when I fell pregnant with my second. I had 2 elective c sections, 18months apart and I'm currently almost 5months pp with my second. The hardest part is the recovery as you'll have a toddler wanting you and a baby. Just take it easy afterwards, find a routine and everything should fall into place

I was 11 months PP when I found it, I had a repeat csection and no issues x

I got pregnant 12mo after my csection as well. Opted for another csection. My kids are 21mo apart and it's been so adorable watching them grow together ❤️ best of luck!

@Alicia oh that’s great to hear! Did your first get jealous? I wanted to wait a little longer just so my first got my full attention for a bit longer so I feel a bit guilty

You got this mama. I had my second a day after my first turned 1 I had to have a c section due to wanting to get my tubes out. It’s fun but it’s exhausting

Congratulations! I got pregnant a week after my first turned 1. Also felt the same anxiety, so you're not alone there. I'm slowly coming round to wanting to attempt a VBAC, I was initially nervous about uterine rupture, but I know I'll be under constant monitoring which gives me some reassurance. I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant now so not long to go 😬

@Victoria do you mind me asking please what kind of monitoring and checks you had? And whether you were allowed to move around, sit on a ball etc? Or whether you had to stay on a bed? Hoping to have a VBAC but also nervous!

@Jacki I had checks to make sure my scar hadn’t stretched, wasn’t painful. Making sure it was not attached on the ultrasound. I was allowed to move for a bit but did have to stay in bed for a bit while they did checks. But labour was so quick I arrived in active labour at 3 and she was born at 6:30! Also recovery was so much easier and quicker xx

Also just to say, I think the younger they are when they get a new sibling the easier it is for them to accept their new normal - that’s what happened in our case anyway, they are 20 months apart and my eldest absolutely adores and dotes on my 2 month old ❤️ you got this! Think of the bond they will have growing up and experiencing everything together - you are giving them such a gift!

I don't remember her getting jealous. She did however cover her eyes the day we brought him home 😂 and ignored him for a few days. Then one morning, she woke up and wanted to give him kisses. It's been a constant BFFs/fighting over toys ever since 😆

@Alicia my first son did something similar when my second son was born. My mum showed him a picture of the baby and asked if it was his brother. His shook his head no and then pointed at their dog as if to be like I want him. Every time they asked him he kept saying no. He ignored me and the baby when he visited us in hospital for the first few days. Now he wants to feed him and keeps trying to make sure he's okay. They are 18months apart

@Tanisha thank you! This is very reassuring
