Pack lunches

What do your portion sizes look like ? My daughter refuses to eat any type of bread so I find it really hard to make her pack lunches 🙃 She’s been having hot dinners in a thermos ie shepherds pie, spaghetti bolognaise etc side of veg and fruit and a yoghurt but now she’s refusing to eat hot food 🙃

with my girl she will not even look at bread at home but if i squash the bread and cut the crusts off she eats in nursery i throw a few sweet treats in and some crisps she eats better when she’s around other children as she’s sees them doing it too x unsure if it would help but worth a try xx

@amelia thank you for the idea it’s something I’ve tried she won’t even eat pizza flat breads 🙃 she’s not bothered about sweet treats either went to a bonfire and she was grabbing salad off people’s plates 😂 xx

I do cold pasta/cold noodles a lot for my daughters lunch. I have one those lunchboxes for her with compartments and I do one compartment carb e.g. pasta or noodles usually, one compartment protein so cold cooked chicken or ham, one compartment berries e.g blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, one for cucumber or veg such as carrots or sweetcorn and the other has diary/calcium e.g. yoghurt or cheese and then I also pack an apple, orange, banana and some crisps in her bag (not in the compartment lunch box). Sounds like a lot but the compartments are small so it’s not as much as it sounds 😂

@Sarah todays mines got tomato pasta cucumber and carrot sticks apple and grapes and a yoghurt . My little ones nursery is very big on healthy eating x

That sounds like a great lunch! Hopefully she gets on well with it today!

@Sarah she ate every last bit 🙂 x
