Feel so frustrated 😩

Trying transition breastfed baby onto breast milk in a bottle. Nothing is going very well. I’ve decided to stick with the mam bottles as that’s the one she seems to chew on. Have tried all different teat sizes but it doesn’t make much difference. Have tried sippy cups with no luck also. I just don’t want to breastfeed anymore and now that we’re starting foods I feel like it’s time(baby is 6 months). My partner tried to feed her but had even worse luck than me. Currently offering the bottle which she allows in her mouth but she will gum it and then spit it out by blowing raspberries. So then we’ve been syringing milk just so she gets something

I had the same problem with my little boy, as silly as it sounds have you tried feeding your baby not holding her? My baby will only take a bottle if not being held, so I prop him up on a feeding pillow or feed him when he’s in his pram. He point blank refuses to take a bottle when being held 😂

@Maisie I actually tried this today haha. I fed her in her bouncer chair. She swallowed some but most of it just ended up down her 😂 still small success I suppose

We also had my partner give the first few so baby couldn’t smell me 🫣

My little girl refused all bottles and sippy cups, would only drink from open cups 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 she now will take a straw at 1.5 years

@Amy we tried that first with me upstairs but she didn’t fall for it. We’re going to try this bottle that looks like an actual boob before trying an open cup x

@Louise ohh bless her still that’s a good skill to learn so early. We ordered this bottle that looks like an actual boob (I think the bottle allows them to latch like they would if they were breasts feeding). If that doesn’t work then we will try the open cup I think x

Can you send a link to the bottle??

@Alex https://emulait.com/products/anatomy-bottle I hope it works tbh 😬

hmmm i might need to try this bottle. i really need to get back into the work place

Have you got it yet?

@Alex yup and it’s not worth the money. Massively design flawed. Worst part is baby liked it but the teat kept collapsing making her frustrated when she couldn’t get the milk out x

Oh that’s such a shame 🙁🙁🙁 back to the drawing board then x
