How?

How do you teach your baby that dad ALSO knows where the snacks are and has the ability to retrieve them? 🤔🤣😂

We keep LOs snacks where he can grab them, but only the ones in closed packs(fruit pouches and the like) so then he can bring them to us 😊

My daughter gets them herself and shuts the door behind her 😆

@Kaity my toddler would ask for snacks all day 😩

Honestly it evens out when they realize it's there all the time, at least it did for mine. Hell just come running in with a cup or mandarin oranges randomly lol

I like the idea but I also think that he would bring me snacks all day long and only want to eat those. We are currently going through a high chair protest and only wanting snacks. I can’t imagine if he had them within reach. How do manage saying no, with snack in hand and having them accessible all the time?

@Kaity that is so cute!! Does he eat well during meal times? I might try that 🤔

For the most part, yeah. We just watch times and if it's too close to meal, we tell him we can have the snack with dinner. Normally it works lol otherwise we have little crackers for him to hold him over

We actually took the top part of his chair off. Like the seat itself come off. So he can go into his chair on his own. It's a learning curve tbh

@Kate have you husband routinely give your son the snack, or when he wants a snack say let's go ask Daddy as you both walk to your husband. Also as others have mentioned snacks within reach I do this in a similar way, I have a munchkin snack cup and I set it out after breakfast, it typically has a mix of cheese it's and kixs honey rice puffs around 10 am, he eats lunch around 12:30 pm then naps, then I let him have the cup also after nap since dinner is around 6 pm.
