Clogged duct

What did yall do to get it out? I’ve been nursing on that side first throughout the day and I’ve been recommended cold, heat, haaka, hot shower, etc. Looking for advice from someone who’s actually gotten one out successfully! Thanks!

Apparently your husband can suck them out 😬 never tried that though.

Ugh I know how annoying they are!!! I got two last week. I massaged the shit out of it both times. The first time it took a bit but finally got it pumping. and then the next time, again massage a ton and nursed. Good luck

I had my husband try mine, but I got it relieved by nursing on the side with a heating pad underneath!

Husband can suck it out. It works wonders.

Soaked mine in warm water with epsom salt in the Haakaa for 15 minutes, rubbed it with a washcloth, then immediately nursed on that side. Has worked twice.

Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation, hot shower and expressing works for me. Bonus is to take sunflower lecithin

Trying to put your baby in a different position. So if you normally do cross cradle, try football hold. I had a clogged duct with my first and after almost 2 days, that’s the only thing that worked. I had tried everything else (though they all sometimes help too!). Also you can take Sunflower Lecithin.

me! mine healed with ibprofeun, icing it, really gentle sweeps up toward my armpit, and lots of nursing. it took about 3 days to go away. @aloha.nutrition on ig has a really good highlight about it.

I had clogged ducts on both sides. I just kept up with my pumping and applied heat before I pumped and then cold compress after I pumped. Also I took ibuprofen.

my husband got mine out. haakaa with warm water and epson salt in it also helped. I also recommend taking sunflower lecithin

Agree with the hubby, strong suction really helps. Another thing you can try is dangle feeding - where you lay baby on their back and kneel over them on all fours, letting baby nurse as your breasts hang down, sometimes the position change really helps. Also try to massage/rub the clog as you nurse (which hurts and sucks, I know)

Thanks for all the advice ladies! Between the haaka trick, massage and little man nursing it seems that he may have got it out tonight! I’ll keep the hubby truck in my back pocket but he’s sick currently so I didn’t want to use him unless I absolutely had no other choice!
