Or you could prevent getting pregnant in the first place. Birth control, condoms, cycle tracking, pull out, abstinence? 🤷🏻♀️
@Alys hii so, plan b is an emergency contraceptive! (Most effective when used in conjunction with other forms of birth control!!) Thing is, right now it’s legal to buy over the counter, and has a shelf life of 4 years! no one is encouraging people to use an emergency contraceptive as a form of birth control, Some people are just sharing & informing people that the emergency contraceptive; plan b has a shelf life of 4 years. (: hope this helps.
Accidents happen, it's great to be prepared. I fully support this post.
@Parker 又 it’s a morning after pill, an emergency contraception after unprotected sex. I think there are other measures, like NOT having unprotected sex in the first place, before relying on this. This post just blew my mind that people would stock up on this like you’re planning to have unprotected sex, on purpose. Just seems irresponsible. But yes, accidents do happen. So buy away. I just don’t think it’s that hard to avoid getting pregnant if you don’t want a baby. It’s like getting married because you’re already relying on the fact that you can just get a divorce.
There are accidents that happen, even when doing everything to prevent pregnancy. This was not a post saying to use it as a form of birth control or whatever you’re saying. And other forms of birth control might not be available here soon. So that could also be added to this post.
@Alys no one here said “stock up” people said it has a shelf life of 4 years? And actually when I had my iud inside me, I would take a plan b if someone unexpectedly decided they had the right to cum in me or it happened prematurely, because I had no desire for being pregnant at that time in my life. (: if your experiences are different that’s so cool, but you are not the only human alive 🫶🏼
@Parker 又 so much to unpack there. But wait, I’m NOT the only human alive? Since when? 🤯
@Alys humans have free will unfortunately. Even the ones who aren’t ourselves. Crazy crazy concept I know I’ll give you time to process. Be grateful if you’ve never had to conceptualize this as possible reality for yourself I suppose. 🫶🏼
Actually I think it’s pretty fortunate that people have free will. Why would you not want that!? That’s weird. Bless your heart.
@Alys I never said I didn’t want that! (: I was directly referring to the moments in which I implied my body was violated by men, being unfortunate. Sorry I assumed you had better reading comprehension didn’t mean for you to tangle my words into something I never said (:
@Parker 又 🤣🤣 I was wondering how long it would take you to turn stalker. FYI, If someone was going to buy a morning after pill for future use, incase they have unprotected sex, suggests that they do it want a baby right now. Therefore, offering alternative ideas to not get pregnant in the first place, is not judging. Some might say informative or even educational. But I’m guessing not you. If you took offence, that’s on you.
@Alys female abstinence doesn't prevent pregnancy. None of those things prevent pregnancy. But they can help.
@Alys looking once at your profile and screenshotting jsut that portion of text that I shared doesn’t make me a stalker but if you need to believe that to feel special go ahead. 🫶🏼 You’re the one who seemed offended by this post even existing. Your information came off as condescending.
@Alys a large amount of people get raped and get pregnant from it. 1 in 20 women in the US get pregnant from assult in their lifetime. So it would be more like a girl getting a forced marriage hoping she can escape one day.

Oh man what a clusterfuck. Accidents happen, unfortunately assaults happen. Better being protected for an unfortunate encounter over the next 4 years than not. I weep for women in the US, a supposed first world country of the free. Lots of love, from the UK where we have all been watching in horror ❤️
@Parker 又 congratulations 🙌🏼 but this isn’t a job interview, not sure what your academic achievements have to do with anything! But go you!! 👍🏼
@Alys I will admit I misread the end of your message when I typed that part out. LOL that’s on me for holding my toddler and typing a response
@Alys but back to the topic at hand, like I said currently it’s legal to buy over the counter, that could possibly change, but plan b does have a shelf life of 4 years, one person cannot control another individuals actions. Shit happens. If it’s never happened to you feel grateful. But don’t forget you aren’t the only person alive, especially not the only person with free will.
@Alys if you could learn that there may be other reasons people need a contraceptive. Maybe no one told you and that’s why your children have such large age gaps😂😂#sorrynotsorry #maybeyourprofileisntanovel
From an outsider looking (I’m from the uk 🇬🇧) All I can see is that women are scared and worried. Pro choice or not it’s inhumane that so many women and girls are now at risk. So if you can I would. You never know what is going to happen in four years. Your perfect marriage becomes unstable and violent, you’re r*ped, you fall pregnant through broken condom, you use everything to prevent you getting pregnant but you still get pregnant. The list of what could happen is endless. My heart goes out to you all. It’s so very sad.
Yeah, definitely don’t just rely on Plan B. Be smart be proactive don’t just have unprotected sex just because you think it’s a bright idea and if you wanna get on birth control, do it and do it before things get any worse that’s I had to do mines good 3 years
Well, not the point fingers, but the Republicans in office were probably gonna go out about 100 years and that’s extremely sad to say that can’t have rights to take care of ourselves
@Michaela not sure what the age gap between my children have to do with anything, but it clearly amuses you, so crack on! 👍🏼 or how it correlates to the different reasons people get pregnant. I think your narrow mindedness clouds your judgement, that because someone suggests preventative measures, means they are oblivious to instances out of our control. Key word being preventative, not full proof. Even Plan B is not 100% effective. And the idea that anyone would buy plan B in advance, incase they get raped!!!! Is just sad. It’s sad that women have to think that way.
@Alys your comment may not have intended to sound condescending, but it did a bit to me at face value. Awesome if it didn't mean it to be and you just wanted to provide options. It has to feel really rough for girl moms right now in some states because you can do everything right and still get pregnant, it does happen. There is also fear that birth control could be outlawed in the not so distant future, which is why they would want alternative options. This mom is doing all she can to protect her daughter, she is doing a great job of it.
No one mentioned being a mum protecting their daughter. I’d like to assume we would all do that! If you really want to protect your daughters, teach them self defense!! Not, here you go sweetheart, here’s some plan B because you might get raped. Like teaching them to accept their fate. Not to fight for themselves. All this energy wasted on fighting me when you could use it to fight an attacker. I’m not going to apologize for how anyone took what I said. And before you get ur knickers in a twist, I’m not saying you’re all doing that, but that’s the way the conversation has been going. As if rape if the only reason women need it for and not taking responsibility for the fact that some people just take it because they’re too lazy or stupid to prevent pregnancy. 🤷🏻♀️ There’s not a one size fits all in this issue
@Alys that's why it is called Plan B, it's for when all else fails and hopefully that's how everyone intends to use it. Prevention first is definitely best, I hope we can all agree on that ❤️
Just for general knowledge I’ve been told plan b does not work as well if you’re above a certain weight. Stay safe ladies.
@Nikki this is unfortunately true, there’s a behind the counter emergency contraceptive that is still helpful and effective to those people! It’s called ‘Ella’ but a script is required to access it.
@Michaela you’re so weird for this comment. Bringing her children into an argument for the sake of being “right” is the weirdest thing to me especially because you’re also a mom.

@Alys okay but are we all just skipping the part where you just said the pull out method is birth control??? Because it most definitely is not.
@Ella 🤣🤣🤣 yeah I laughed real hard there
I heard you can buy it on amazon
