Nexplanon

Hello, I’m posting this to see if any of you were ever on nexplanon and if you got it removed, did you feel any different afterwards? I got nexplanon after having my 1st baby (he’s 17 mo) and I have been thinking about getting it removed for a while now. Can any of you share your experience after getting it removed?

I was on it for 7 years, nothing changed when I got it removed. Except maybe more regular periods, but they were fine with it in too. Some women aren't so lucky though I've heard

@Tanya yeah I’ve never looked at it as an option because I had a friend who lost a big chunk of the muscle in her arm when they removed it. Not saying that to scare anyone I know that doesn’t happen all the time, but I didn’t want to risk it.

@Briana oh gosh! That's so unfortunate to hear. I had it removed twice (once to replace) and it came out nicely with no issues. I would personally use it again

I had it for two years, it made my periods super crazy so I got it taken out but had no issues with the removal! My periods became more regular after it was out and I had my first daughter about a year later 🥰

I had it for 1 year, no issues with removal although it took 3 months for my period to come back… so if you're removing because of TTC, maybe get it taken out earlier.

I had it for a few months August to January back in Like 2016, and I had it removed immediately cuz I was heavily bleeding for a month straight and had to go on iron pills for a bit cuz I lost so much blood haha 😅
