Pressure on breast feeding

Those of you who are formula feeding or expressing, how have you dealt with the never ending pressure to feed from the breast? I feel like ever since baby was born there's been so much pressure from midwives and others to breastfeed.

Honestly whatever is best for mum is best for baby, there’s no point in breastfeeding it it affects you mentally or physically, fed is best in my opinion! I have formula fed from day 1 I tried to express and after 3 days of expressing for 30 mins every 2 hours and only getting 20ml of breast milk in total I gave up as I was exshausted and felt defeated. My little one is 8 weeks old on Sunday is doing brilliantly on formula, I just try and block out any pressure ♥️

At first I felt like such a bad mother but a fed baby is the best baby. I personally couldn’t make enough milk but once I told people that they kept trying to push the idea of trying more and more but you just have to stand your ground. As long as your baby is happy and healthy it doesn’t matter what anyone else has to say

I think there's so much pressure put on mums in general, and at some point we all just have to realise we're going to be judged by someone no matter what we do, so screw what anyone else thinks! You do what's right for you and your baby. On the flip side there's also loads of pressure on breastfeeding mums to formula feed, so you really can't win either way 😵‍💫 https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGdNkgbrH/
