How often should baby be breastfeeding (EBF)

My LO is 10weeks and still breastfeeds every 2hrs during the day and sometimes less than 2hrs. I alternate between breast and bottle feeding sometimes. She has a full feed each time and she spits up afterwards. I was hoping she should be feeding less often by now as it’s getting exhausting as I can’t do anything during the day. The only time it stretches to 3-4hrs is during the night. Anyone else having the same issues?

Do you offer both breasts when feeding? I sometimes leave a 10/15 minute gap in between and then offer the other breast and she’ll take more and then goes longer between x

@Chloe I don’t offer both breast. I will try this x

My LO is also 10 weeks old and tends to go 2 hours between feeds. I've noticed that the times she goes longer, say 3+ hours, is when we go out somewhere either in the car or in the pram, so I'm not sure yet if getting a good length of nap helps her to go longer between feeds or whether it's being outside or whatever!

Mine is the same but I read that they feed more often in the day to build up calories so they can sleep longer at night!

@Jess same with me, I can’t get her to nap for long at home as she always wants to be cuddled to sleep. Maybe that’s why she feeds more

@Megan this makes sense.. it’s just driving me crazy at the moment

My girl is the same she feeds every 90 mins through a day then 2-3 hours on a night. My girl is very small though. Its completely normal for some babies xx
