Skinny toddler

My child was sick last year and lost weight that was never gained back properly. I know the doctor said everything is fine with the weight but I was also told everything was fine by several doctors when my kid couldn't eat or drink anything and showed signs of being allergic to the meds. Needless to say, I don't trust doctors. My kid has skinny arms and just feels frail. Is there anything I can do to basically fatten up my kid in a healthy way? We don't do a lot of sugar or processed food. Someone suggested going to the doctor for meds to do that and I'd really rather not do that.

Healthy fats - avocado, nut butters, adding oil into foods are the things I’ve seen suggested. Never tried it myself though!

Just a healthy diet of being protein, healthy fats (avocado, olive and coconut oils along with nuts and seeds), and vitamins and minerals theough varied fruits and vegetables is what the body needs to grow. A probiotic may not hurt either to help with immune function and overall health. A lot of what we see as skinny kn kiddoa can be a normal weight. If they can pull up their body weight and climb, run, and jump well I wouldn't stress it too much.

Thank you. She eats just about anything, except olives and finally drinks milk again too. She is extremely active and the doctor said that's why she is so skinny, and I was small as a child too, but I can't help but worry🥺
