Honestly I waited until it was warm out and we just spent every day outside naked lol then worked on sitting on the potty every 45 minutes or so and slowly stretched timing out as he got used to it. Potty training in a week like people claim is insane, it took us a few months but he turned 3 yesterday and is completely potty trained.
I just sat my kids on the toilet and bribed them snacks and they went 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now I’m having to start all over again when my third baby is ready 🤣
I followed Andrea Olson for her methods both for Ec initially but we had a lot going on and couldn’t keep it up so then followed her program for older babies/toddlers and all went super smooth. Just start with the first time you get up and go to the bathroom yourself so they get used to going with you and that it’s just a normal thing everyone days. Then start offering like ok now it’s your turn. Use a potty seat or get a small potty that bub can sit on either next to you or after you go. So it just becomes normal. Look up I think it’s five main catches. Super helpful to just start getting in tune with their natural rhythms to go.
you will know when your baby is ready to be potty trained. Have you noticed any signs? Always tell your baby when you’re going on the toilet and tell them what you doing, that can help. Don’t put any pressure on it and put the potty down in the bathroom or sometimes the room your in. Let them run around with there nappy off. Talk to them about you go to the toilet when you need a wee or poo, put them on the toilet every half hour.
