Milton & Nuby

Hello I sterilise our Nuby rapid cool using the Milton cold water method. However I've just read you shouldn't put metal in with Milton? But it's advised by Nuby to use the cold water method? Also do people use bottles straight from the water I've noticed my little one has a little cough and worried maybe it's from the solution? Could just be coincidence

I only leave mine in it 15 minutes and I feel if the company says its fine then its ok. Also the bottles are perfectly fine to use straight out of the solution rinsing them would defeat the purpose of sterilising.

I always used put my nuby in the Milton until I started just using them to cool the water. Didn’t even realise you shouldn’t 😬 However, I’ve notice my bottle teats are very cloudy/discoloured and wondered if this was the Milton which then worried me in case it was effecting baby 🤔 xx

@Louise this is my concern! But the healthcare visitor always suggested using million to me as it recommended by the NHS. It leaves Iike a residue on it so when I'm making a bottle I've started just rinsing it off with boiling water. Maybe I'm being over cautious 🙈 tempted to go back to steaming them haha
