Increase milk supply

Before I spend a ton on products, what has helped increase your milk supply? Breast-feeding was not going well for me or baby so I bottlefeed and pump but I have barely ever had any milk and my baby is almost 3 weeks old. It takes me multiple pumps a day just to get 1/2 oz of breastmilk 🥹 (I will pump multiple times a day for 20-35 min, I also tried powerpumping a couple of times).

Pump every 2hours 10-15mins no longer build your supply up even if its the tiniest amount do it for 2-3days and that should make your brain think oh shit this baby's hungry we need to make more lol. You could try some breastfeeding teas although really you just need to make sure your eating loads aswel even if your not hungry. I exclusively pumped for 10months xx

Double check your flange/nipple size and make sure all your pump parts and pieces are connected correctly. And avoid using a portable/hands free pump if you can. All just stuff I’ve gathered from bemybreastfriend and Karrie Locher on Instagram!

Power pumping at least once a day for an hour made a huge difference to me Pump 20 mins, stop for 10, pump again for 10 mins, stop for 10 and then pump again for 10

I use pump princess pills that are safe and it brought back my milk supply !! 🥹 and yes it’s organic !

Drinking a lot of water before I pumped helped me.

I make a lot of my own smoothies and heard oats were really good for supply, so I used whatever fruit I had, a scoop of oats and oat milk. It’s a great way to squeeze in a lot of vitamins / nutrients without having to eat loads! ‘Wet’ foods like fruits and soups / broths are a great way to stay hydrated too. I pump and breast feed, latching really frequently / pumping really frequently makes your body kick it up a notch too!
