She’s only eating 2 bottles a day? How many oz is each bottle?
@Madison 8 oz each and she does wake up in the middle of the night for atleast 1 more bottle don’t know if i should count overnight bottles in this though..
Until one year old they should have much more milk, about 32 ounces a day
Yes I would count that for sure, so about 24 oz a day and breakfast, lunch, and dinner + snacks. I would say that sounds pretty good! My daughter currently eats breakfast lunch and dinner plus snacks, and 4 oz bottles throughout the day like every 2-4 hours. I wish she would eat more milk at once but I can never get her to eat more than 4 oz.
Solids should be just an extra, they should not replace milk
My daughter does sleep through the night though for the most part, sometimes wakes up once or twice for a bottle.
Their poop is going to be solid once they start eating solid foods. Is she straining? Is it hard little balls? If so, maybe add some water in a straw cup during meals and make sure she gets one p (prune, pear, peach) or apple puree a day.
@Kate she is not straining and it’s not hard little balls they are literally little turds like big people poop in a wayyy smaller form… i’m sorry i just feel like i’m doing everything wrong and i’m not sure how to word things
Honestly that sounds completely normal for a baby on solids. Especially the frequency. Your best bet is asking your pediatrician, but that’s what we’re experiencing on 2 meals a day and our ped said it’s perfect
the turds are normal 🙏🏽 just an indication that she’s getting solids in her system now -that’s good mama! def keep up with water and her milk until she’s 1 my LO was getting constipated where her turds hurt her to be pushed out to the point she needed assistance always so we just make sure she drinks water daily and it’s helped her digestion
Not too many solids, maybe too little milk for the day. At this age they’re supposed to drink 24-32oz a day in 3 or 4 feedings.
more in depth what she eats kind of on a normal basis, for breakfast she has Pancakes with fruit and a baby food container or baby cereal with cut up fruit and some toast, For lunch she usually has an applesauce pouch with a little grilled cheese sandwich or pancakes that she had left over from breakfast then sometime before dinner she has a bottle and then she eats whatever we have for dinner Soup, Meatloaf, sandwiches, casserole etc and then a bottle right before bedtime she also drinks water and has snacks such as baby puffs, rice rusks, veggie straws and organic cheeto puffs
