@Jordan Bassett thank you so much this really helps 🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless you
I’m so sorry you have to go through that! That is honestly my biggest fear with my little guy when he gets older. But a really close friend of mine suggested this answer: say her/his dad is sick and he is trying to get better. My situation is a little different, but this close friend grew up with a single mom and her dad was a drug addict. She remembers her mother never saying anything about her dad, she simply would tell her that he was sick and he was away trying to get better. I liked her suggestion because you’re not saying anything bad about him to her, but you’re also letting her know that her dad isn’t well (whether physically or mentally).
This must be an absolutely heartbreaking situation! Im sending you so much love! I think at her age it is extremely difficult for her to really understand however you could explain about how each and every family looks different, how some people have a mummy and a daddy some people have just one parent some ect Explain that she is so very loved and she is loved just the same as people with two parents x
