Opinion: Arietta too close to Ariana?
My best friend has a 4yo Ariana. We are Aussie but they pronounce it an unusual way.. Arry (rhymes with Harry)-unna. They don’t use any nicknames.
I adore Arietta (AH-ree-etta) with nicknames Etta and Ari.
Does it look like I’m copying?

I wouldn’t personally as I feel the names are too similar and could be seen as copying x
how about arietty, you can still use the same nicknames x

i don't think they're too similar - for sisters, maybe but not if it's the daughter of your best friend. and especially if you plan to use nicknames too - i love Arietta, especially with Etta as a nickname. 💕 if you are really worried, maybe just ask your friend for her opinion? if she's your best friend, you could ask her how she feels, and then you'll have the reassurance - but ultimately, they are two different names so I don't think it seems like you are copying her.
