There is no answer to this question, all babies are different. The first few weeks should be entirely baby led, you just need to look for hungry queues.
My baby is 7 weeks and only takes 2 oz maybe 2 and a quarter at a time, sometimes will give her annother ounce an hour later if she's still hungry, but shes smaller for her age group, and was only 5 pounds 8 ounces in the hospital so we space it out. It helps with the spit up. Every baby is different.
feed on demand. whenever baby wants to eat. newborns clusterfeed alot for the first couple weeks so dont be alarmed when you give them 2 ounces and like 10 minutes later they are rooting again as if they are hungry again. Just give them another ounce and wait and see if they still want more. baby will let you know when they are full. if they fall asleep after the feeding or push out the bottle then they are done. and pace feed meaning have baby almost in a sitting position and dont tilt the bottle up have it more like straight enough for the milk to barely fill up the nipple part so that baby takes the lead and not gravity. you can Google how paced feeling works.
The best advice I can give you is start at the premade bottles 2oz at first, increase over time depending on if your baby seems more hungry, I didn’t worry about a time, I eventually just did it based off of when my baby seemed whiny or upset, sometimes sleepy
Feed on demand, my daughter was formula fed from the get go, she was drinking about an oz every 2 hrs for the first few days then went up to 2oz by 1 week. every baby is different. also, if you have a specific formula you want to feed your baby, YOU CAN. i recommend trying the one youd like to stick with from the jump so youre not switching formulas, sometimes its tough on babys belly. Bring a sealed can with you to the hospital and bottles, they will give you water if you ask or you can bring a gallon🤍. Also babies do cluster feed so on demand you can kinda feed as they want as much as they are hungry for at that time🤍.
I’d start with the pre-made formula bottles in hospital every 2-3 hours, they’re usually around 70ml which is just over 2oz. They will only drink 1-2oz a time at first, but the box does say to offer 3 scoops/90ml/3oz (each scoop is 30ml of water/1oz roughly. By the end of the first week I was offering 3oz every 3-4 hours. Basically just when baby was hungry, don’t worry you will know! By 9 weeks old she was on 6oz every 3-4 hours and had about 6 bottles a day (didn’t finish every single one). She’s 6 months now and on 8oz a feed 4x a day every 4 hours (sleeps right through). It really is all trial and error. They spit up loads if you over feed them and cry if they’re hungry. As long as they’re gaining weight those first 2 weeks you’re doing everything right X
