Cluster feeding for weeks

Anyones baby cluster feed for weeks on end? I recon from 5-8 weeks it’s just been every hour. Exclusively breastfed. He’s gaining weight well and has full wet & dirty nappies. And at night he only wakes up twice but during the day I am feeding every hour. I know they have a growth spurt around 8 weeks but he’s been cluster feeding for weeks now 😅

It could last weeks. Could be his feeding pattern too at this time. Could be to build your supply. It won’t stay like this forever

My little boy has been the same. He’s currently 7 weeks old and since about 4-5 weeks old he’s been feeding every hour and a half for a good 20 minutes at a time. But seems very settled and calm after each feed so I just took it as it’s the current age cluster feeds…but I never knew they lasted for weeks x

My eldest son cluster fed for basically months ha weight was fine etc but he fed so much for comfort

Yes. My boy cluster fed every day and night of his life until age 3 or 4 months ish when we started to get some respite. He was a BIG boy and fed a lot, but as he grew older it’s become apparent he has a sensitive temperament and I think a lot of his feeding was for comfort and security too not just nutrition 🩵 He’d be on me for hours and hours at a time, I’d switch boobs every 30 minutes. Then he’d have a brief break of 30-60 minutes being unlatched but then be back at it for another marathon. Contact napping and safe bedsharing was essential for us to make it through. And grit on my side to handle the nipple pain. Many of my mum friends didn’t understand the true cluster feeder life.
