Hi there! My son is 20 weeks and I’m starting him on solids, I wasn’t really thinking and made my first batch this morning and used frozen breastmilk 😖 apparently you can only use fresh to refreeze? I’m abit confused so do I throw out this batch? Please help I have 0 idea what I’m doing haha

I would think the same rules apply as meat. Freeze once when raw and freeze once when cooked? If it's safe enough for meat it should be fine for breastmilk. That's just my logic/opinion on the matter though 💕

Do not refreeze the breastmilk. How much did you make? I’ve used fresh breastmilk in the food and then frozen it, but if thawing from the freezer it would have to be used within 24 hours. Or if possible, steam your fruits and veggies and puree them with a tiny bit of water or mash them and then freeze, and when you thaw out the food thaw out the milk as well and then mix in some milk. Those are my suggestions.

I would just use it…I’ve never heard of only using fresh for food
