@Nada they put her on aptamil pepti 1 the first day she was good on it then she started going back to how she was on cows milk and the pepti one was so thin it was coming out like water she’s permanently unsettled she cries all the time
It did increase my son’s silent reflux significantly that I had to gradually decrease it as I switched to exclusively breastfeeding. Later I heard that there are thickners that can be added to formula to keep it down a bit, but I didn’t inquire further as we were almost off formula. Can this be something to ask your GP? I have also heard that there is a wait period with aptamil for you to see significant change but this is also something that your GP could have more experience with. I have reached out to our GP constantly as we were navigating CMPA symptoms and they were mostly accommodating even if I call on consecutive days.
@Nada the HV told us to put her back to cow and gate after 2 of her being on it so we did but she was struggling with her feeds so took her to A&E they put her on SMA Alfamino
That must have been scary! I am glad you found the help you needed. And good instincts you had to go yo A&E! Strange advice about putting her back on cow and gate. Don’t fully understand the reasoning behind that recommendation.
@Nada she was struggling so bad with her feeds and choking on the formula at one point she went 8 with out a feed 🥲even if a little bit in her mouth because she so allergic to it her face was swollen and she only had 2 bottles but seam so much more happy xxx
Poor baby. Hopefully it gets better and better for her soon.
How are her poos? Is she sleeping well? Gaining weight? It could be CMPA despite not having any of these things, but your GP might ask you these questions. I’d contact them and ask for their advice. It can be CMPA, yes.
