Friend vs Venmo šŸ„²šŸ˜…

My friend always ā€œforgetsā€ to Venmo me and then they all add up And I feel awful asking her for payment especially when some time has gone by. She has made many comments about things balancing out a thereā€™s no point to Venmo. But she requests payment when she picks up the bill down to the vent of the tax money. So it never balances out. What do I do? I donā€™t wanna be a jerk but she owes me 30$ and itā€™s not a lot of money but to her it will be And this is an ongoing thing.

Sheā€™s not a friend if she gets upset just say hey! I know itā€™s kinda late but I need the 30 I lent you last time šŸ«¶

I would play it off and be like hey girl did you ever send that money? And hopefully sheā€™s like oh I completely forgot here you go lbs

@Jackie I wouldnā€™t say that since she prob would say she did šŸ˜ esp if shes been going on about taxes

Send her a Venmo request for what she owes you and then stop paying for her for stuff

I always send a request as soon as someone says they will pay meā€¦. Iā€™m not footing the bill for anyone

I would just stop paying for her stuff if she wonā€™t pay you back šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Same thing happened to me. I am a sahm and tight on money. My friend will ask me to order something of Amazon Prime and said she will Zelle me. It took weeks before she actually paid me: I will Remind her and she would say will Do it later. She eventually did but damn. She is doing really good financially and she knows I struggle seems very inconsiderate. I no longer press the buy button until she deposits me the amount. She does not forget now lol

regardless if you tell her to pay you back or not, stop covering things for her or letting her cover for you. Just tell her money is tight and you donā€™t have it. Itā€™s a betrayal of trust when someone does that. So moving forward always make it so that both parties pay their share upfront.

@Mizzy thatā€™s when you start the conversation by apologising itā€™s taken you so long, but youā€™ve looked through your transaction history and cannot find the payment from her that youā€™re looking for. Unless she has proof she sent it, your lack of proof says she didnā€™t.

@Trish yeah but some people would just deny it I would just not bring up the idea

@Mizzy fight for what is yours! You worked for that money. If youā€™re happy to just accept her denial thereā€™s no point even bringing it up. In future split everything down the middle as it happens and do not let her get away with anything, not even a little bit. People like that get given an inch and take a mile. You are your first priority, not anyone else or their feelings. Sorry youā€™re going through this.

@Trish lol not saying to not bring it up Iā€™m saying thereā€™s no need to pretend you donā€™t know if you received it just say you need it šŸ˜ and itā€™s not me going thru it the person is anonymous

Not a real friend. Not someone that it worth having in your life if she is just going to use you. Start slowly distancing yourself

@Mizzy shit, sorry I got lost in the messages.
