Are your toddlers still babbling in between using actual words?

My little girl is nearly 25 months. She knows plenty of words and making first sentences like “bear eat” etc…but she will also do really long “babbles” as if she’s having a full conversation with me maybe throwing in a couple of actual words? Just wondered if anyone else’s little one does this?

My son is 24 months and does. Even calls things his own wordbhe made up. Like for some reason when he wants a drink asks for a gog.

my girl will be 2 next week and yes she does this. she’ll do a long string of unintelligible gibberish then say 2 words i can understand at the end

24 months here with pretty much full speech and has proper conversation with most sentences being 5 words or more and he still often babbles or even proper baby talks like gagaga.

Yes, my little boy also does this and he's 25 months.

Yes 🙋🏻‍♀️

Yeah she does a mix of speaking in full sentences 6-7 words long and then complete nonsense. We also often have conversations where we just go blurblelurbleblurblelurblelurb. 😂

Aw thank you everyone for your replies, so reassuring!!

Yep!

Yessss my son is 25 months too. Lots of babbling to himself and saying lots of things I don’t understand and then he will say something like “peek a boo” at the end or “take it out” and I’m like take what out 😭😭😭 Or he will say “wow!” And babble and then say 1,2,3 😂 Sometimes it sounds like he is singing 😂

Yes. It’s so funny to watch. 😂 the other day he was getting cross with his older brother for calling him a baby. It went along the lines of “babble babble BABBLE BABBLE babble Baby baby Babble babble BABBLE” 🤣

@Gilly I love this😂 they are so funny when they get sassy😂
