Little girl scared to poo 😭

My little girl has been struggling with going for a poo for weeks now. She had constipation with chicken pox early September and it really hurt her to go. Since then she seems too scared to poo. We’ve had appts with the pharmacist and doctor, they recommended we give her lactulose daily which has helped, but whenever we try to wean her off it, we end up back at the start where she’s holding them in again. She gets so upset, it breaks my heart. It’s also put a stop to the potty training (doctor recommended). Has anyone else been through anything similar? I need help, I just don’t know where to go from here 🙈

My little boy was exactly the same, he wouldn't poo for days because he was scared, we just stayed consistent, we'd put potty training cartoons on while he was going then he started singing the poop songs along with them, get a potty training book to read with her while she's sitting, try to sing and dance and encourage her. Try to get her to eat plenty of fibre and drink lots of water so it's not painful, she'll get there eventually! X

Hey hun, get some Laxido and if she’s holding it then ask to see the bladder and bowel specialist x

My daughter is the same! We use laxido every other day which helps to keep water in her gut, she’s only just starting to poop without getting upset so it must be helping, we also put potty training on hold for this reason, hoping we can start again soon xx

Thank you ladies 🥰 xx
