Nursery Concerns

My 3 year old son started nursery in September 24. He’s done a full term now and seems to be enjoying it however me and my partner have some concerns with how the nursery operates. Every day I pick him up, he is dirty. Food always round his mouth and today even some dried blood from his mouth (he’d bit his lip and made it bleed). I don’t always get a good handover, today they just told me about the lip biting or that he’s been a bit ‘emotional’ today but no information on his activities for the day. Each week they do a weekly round up and post lots of photos on the Tapestry app and my son is never in any of the pictures. A few weeks back, he had a poop accident in his pants and when I opened his bag at home, they left the poo in the pants and sent it home with him. They also sent him home in the wrong shoes and have now lost those shoes which is really frustrating. They also sent him home with shoes on the wrong feet. Prior to this my son was at a childminder so the care was more personal and I knew nursery wouldn’t be the same because of the amount of children but should I be concerned about all the above issues? Has anyone else had this from their nursery?

Hi, personal opinion, there’s nothing ok or acceptable with what you’re describing. I wouldn’t accept that for my kids. I would ask to speak with management and get them all the facts. Trust your guts and raise your concerns. You’re paying for a service and want the best for your boy. ❤️

Deffo go see the nursery, I’d have something to say with every one of your points and my son has been in nursery since he was just gone 2, no it’s not 1-1 but at the end of the day shoes on the right feet and a clean face are fairly basic things, and 100% not acceptable to send him home with his soiled pants with poo still in! Speak to manager!
