No pointing, clapping or talking + stopped waving

Also, he decreased mimicking a lot. My son is meeting all other milestones normally or even ahead of time, but he is not meeting these. Is it a cause for concern? Waving and mimicking were great until he started walking, since then, being on the move is all he cares about.

Could be a regression. That’s super normal. They’ll focus on the new skill for a bit and the other stuff will catch back up.

@Cat really? That's a relief! I googled it and it said autism. I got so scared

I think it's normal! My son always fixates on a skill for a few weeks to a month and then moves on to something else.

@Mykael but it has been longer than a month with my son 😭 that being said, his gross motor skills are advancing constantly, based on some milestones I checked he's closer to 18-19 months level. It's like he found a thing he's good at and won't focus on anything else now 😭

Yep, that's exactly what my son does too. I wouldn't worry about it if his doctor isn't concerned. Babies all do things on their own pace and their own time!

@Mykael thank you so much for this reassurance, I really hope you're right
