Mucus causing vomiting

My 1 year old has a chesty cough and snotty nose. He had a few days of a really snotty nose and then moved onto a chesty cough. With that came lots of mucus in his throat. He has been coughing and then vomiting. He does it spontaneously but mainly around eating times. It's been happening for about 7 days. Some days worse than others. Dr's have just said viral 🙄 we have been twice. So worried he isn't getting enough to eat. Has anyone experienced this? Help!

My little one had a viral infection which then he had croup , he had symptoms like these but also had a loud grunting and wheezing while breathing. Maybe worth getting him checked. I went off instinct as our gp told us our boy had another viral infection but we went to the qeuh for a second opinion cause we knew it wasn’t right xx Hope he’s on the mend soon 🤍

Ah no! He has no grunting or wheezing..they checked his chest twice and said its absolutely clear. Im just so frustrated. I will definitely try for a second opinion! X
