Have they tried giving him the milk in in a sports/water bottle or an open cup? Maybe he’s feeling self conscious if no one else is having bottles. Does he eat snacks /lunch with everyone else? At this age nearly all nutrition should be coming from food rather than breastmilk (and I say that in a supportive way as I’m a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter), so actually the feed at the end of the day might be more for comfort and connection rather than food - and again the wanting to nurse during the day could be for a similar reason. Has anything changed in his setting that has unsettled him? Maybe if that is looked into and he can again feel settled he might take the milk again. ❤️
@Emily so sorry! I left out month, he’s four months. 😅 Thank you for your response though!
@Katie four months! 😅
@Staesha - ah that makes more sense 🤣. I did wonder but I also didn’t want to assume. Ok I’d look into nursing strikes, even though it’s not strictly a full nursing strike. This video might help the nursery workers https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cc0Srm1AJ7m/?igsh=MWF6dWVqaDU3OW4zNQ==
Maybe it’s because you can keep going in? And he knows that but in the other hand he is only 4 month so you are a massive part of him comfort x
4 years old and he’s on bottles&breast? Or 4 month old?
