Grief and stress, feeling disconnected

Hi everyone, I want to start by saying I’m so grateful about being pregnant after trying for some time to concieve but I feel like I’m close to a breakdown. For the first 19 weeks of pregnancy I had awful sickness, nauseous and throwing up every day, since about week 16 I’ve had pelvic girdle pain so bad I can barely sleep. My job has been busier than usual and stressful, my partner crashed his work van so now I’m walking a lot more which is painful and we also had some stress about him losing his job so finances have been hard going. To top it all off last night my dog of 12 years died traumatically my in my arms, she’s been my baby since I was 18 and got me through so much in my life (my mum passing a few years ago, first house, break ups etc) I genuinely love her like family. I just feel so defeated, heartbroken and disconnected from the pregnancy as it seems like one thing to the next. Sorry if this seems dramatic, first pregnancy and just having a tough time :( anyone had similar and found a way to get back into a positive space?

Doesn't seem dramatic at all!! So sorry about everything that's happened 😞 Please please please reach out to your midwife so that they can offer you some mental health support! Even just getting it off your chest will help and there is so much they can do to help even if it's just directing you to help and services. Sending love, feel free to message me if you need a chat ❤️

I’m so sorry about your dog Faye 😢 that’s heartbreaking. It sounds like you’ve hardly been given a chance to enjoy pregnancy so far - I massively understand the feeling of being so grateful and knowing it’s all worth it, but at the same time having no idea how to cope ❤️ You are not being dramatic at all, and if I figure out how to get back into a positive space, the first thing I’ll do is let you know!! I just don’t want you to feel like you’re alone in this xxx

I’m sorry for your loss….perhaps fur baby was making room on earth for human baby? ❤️
