So we have a childminder/ mini nursery sort of set up. 3 adults to 9 children 3 and under in a purpose built building. He has one main carer who he’s bonded really well with and she adores him you can tell by the way she speaks about him and he adores her his face lights up when he sees her. He eats and naps better there than at home and settled really well. He got upset on occasion the first couple of weeks but they said he was easily distracted with play/ a toy or a cuddle and he’d cry really hard when he seen me again at the end of the day but a month on and we’re down to a wimper. Every baby is very different and you know your baby best. I’d say try and speak to them and see if he can have more 1-2-1 focus from someone as I feel like how they bond with their carer makes a huge difference x
My daughter naps 2-3 hours minimum at home but at nursery didn't nap at all for the first month and now has anything from 15 minutes to an hour max there. (She's a fomo baby though 😂) And we just deal with a bit of a grumpy baby on nursery days. I think it sounds like they're calling you really quickly over not much imo. The only time my daughter's been called home in 3 months is for diarrhoea which is obviously understandable! I'd definitely be having a chat with them and asking to only call if he's really upset and can't be settled, especially if he's eating and playing it sounds like he's not that upset being there!
I work in a nursery and we would only really ring and suggest they get picked up if they are absolutely beside themselves with sadness that can’t be settled by any adults, or just not themselves (not eating, drinking, sleeping well etc) My little one started nursery, and initially her naps were 💩 (still are but they’re getting 2 naps out of her which is progress)! but I’ve never been called to pick her up even when this was the case, as it’s something that children work through (and will eventually sleep) You should definitely ask who the keyworker is though
