Working from home

I’m looking to work from home. Anyone know where I start? I can’t afford to put my child in childcare I’m better off staying at home. I see all these videos on social media on how mums are so much better working from home. Any advice/help would be appreciated thanks xx

If you want a job that pays well and you have any responsibility then you won’t be able to effectively work and look after a child. I WFH and it is hell if my 2 year old is around, which is rare because she is usually at nursery when I work. Don’t believe what you see on social media. It’s marketing.

bit late commenting but there’s a subreddit for mums working from home that might give you a realistic picture of how easy/difficult it can be (I’m also considering wfh with my LO at home after mat leave to see if it’s doable) - https://www.reddit.com/r/MomsWorkingFromHome
