Baby shaking her head
My baby girl is 5 months 2 weeks old. She has recently started shaking her head side to side a lot - when lying down. Are anyone else’s babies doing this? I understand it’s a self soothing thing, but she did it at a sensory class today & only recently had a nap so wasn’t tired 🤣

My son does this when laying down or in a car seat. Not sure why.
Its excitement too My girl does it Providing no other signs its developmental and they grow out of it but can sometimes be to do with an ear infection
@Becky yes today I could tell my daughter was excited to be at sensory so it must be that! She had no symptoms of an ear infection but I will keep an eye out for that! Thank you!
My 6mo daughter does it when she's trying to soothe herself to sleep. Started at about 5.5 months. She's got a little bald patch there now 🤣

My nene does this too.. the best thing when a shop assistant told him 'You are a wee rascal, aren't you?' And he started to shake his head like mad from side to side not understanding a thing 😅
