@Jess I didn’t have a spinal, which is why I’m so confused as to why I’m so uncomfortable. I will speak to doctor to see if can help
Hi try doing pregnancy massages 2x a week. I am from asia (Nepal) and in our culture we do massages using hot mustard oil after pregnancy till 3 months. We keep whole body warm so long sleeve, socks and hat even inside the house. If you have any indian friends ask them if they know any massagers around. Hope you feel better soon. Or try deep tissue massages. I think it will help you a lot. Try doing for 3 months aswell.
@Naomi not sure if things like that can happen during labour and birth, how old is little one? My baby was incredibly low the last 7 weeks of pregnancy so it took me ages for my hips to go "back to normal", I bought a matress topper that helped hugely!
Supplements like cod liver oil tabs, iron, calcium. Also get a blood test from the GP to see if your low on anything too. Light exercise just to keep the body moving too, magnesium cream Holland and Barrett or Amazon it sort of may work for aches!
I’m in the same boat @Naomi - I naively thought all of the aches and pains would fall away post partum but not only have they stuck around but I’ve acquired new ones just for fun too. I’m seeing a physio, do Pilates and have also got a foam roller but I don’t find enough time to invest the energy needed to do strength and stretching exercises when I’m home. The main things I am focusing on is loosening up my hip flexors and strengthening my stomach again. If I can get those back on track and it doesn’t feel like my lower back is being crushed every time I’m lying on back or going from lying to seating to standing then that’ll make a big difference.
Not quite the same but I have had knee and hip pain since giving birth. I feel so stiff and pain is worse at night and first thing in morning
Sounds like my friend who ended up with nerve damage from the spinal, I would go and see a doctor if you can!
