Plus size mammas

When did you beautiful plus size mammas start noticing a bump? I’m a size 18/20 and I’m currently 16 + 4 weeks pregnant and feel like I look no different. I’m seeing other mams with bumps that are the same weeks as me and i keep upsetting myself that I’m just looking more chubby.

Similar size 18-20 pre-pregnancy, I lost a few kilos with nausea in the first trimester so am still lighter than pre-pregnancy weight. I'm now 17+3 and my bump definitely popped in the last week - for a week or two before that, I just looked like I did pre-pregnancy if I was bloated from a big meal! But it's definitely turned into a pregnancy bump in the last week. Would it help you feel better to buy some nice maternity clothes to flatter your belly?

@Sophie I’m struggling with maternity clothes so bad. Ideally I need to try things on but I don’t know if I need to go up sizes or just buy my normal size. First baby problems I haven’t got a clue 😂

@Kourtney ah I remember that from first pregnancy! Typically stuff should correspond to your pre-pregnancy size, so a size 18 maternity dress will fit someone who was 18 before pregnancy. I'm just planning to live in maternity leggings and jumpers for the next 3 months then get a couple of nice dresses for the spring!

@Sophie I’m just a legging and baggy jumper girly anyway so it shouldn’t be too hard I hope 😩

I’m a size 12-14 and 17+3 weeks and I don’t have a bump either, had some major bloating around week 13 but now I just look pretty much like I did before. Think first pregnancies can take longer to show, everyone is different. It is annoying though as you kind of feel like you’re pretending 😅

@Kim the only symptoms I have aswell is that I have tender nipples other than that I don’t even feel pregnant so I’m just a constant stress of ‘am I actually even pregnant’ 😂

@Kourtney I wish that was my only symptom 😂 I have felt like I’ve had a 17 week hangover!!
