High risk pregnancy

Hi ladies I had my first midwife appointment earlier this week. I am currently 10+1 and was told that was high risk due to BMI and having endometriosis. Has anyone else had this? What was involved? Did you have a “normal” pregnancy without complications? I was already feeling nervous but now I feel worse

You’ll have more scans which means you get to see your baby more 🫶 I had to due to my weight I was also consultant led care which was good! Other than that same as someone without BMI and endo still see midwife regularly in clinics and as always any concerns you ring them xx but with any pregnancy every experience is different it’s such a good thing to have more scans and be consultant led I had scans 12,20,30 weeks xx

Yer I was high risk and a totally normal pregnancy with really mellow symptoms 🙂 the extra scans were just a bonus!

I was high risk with 40.2 bmi so I had extra scans and was put on asprin. Normal pregnancy no issues, 8lb 4oz baby boy
