could labor be soon for me?

i’m a ftm 37 weeks today and for the past 2 nights i’ve been having what i thought were painful braxton hicks except when i google about braxton hicks they’re supposed to go away when you move/change position or drink water? they started out sort of consistent then they got less and less regular but i had to breathe through some of these and they just wouldn’t go away and one would even happen while i’m laying in bed trying to sleep and was so painful and felt paralyzing.. anyway tmi but this morning i had the literal worst diarrhea i’ve experienced like i couldn’t hardly make it to the bathroom, my stomach was in so much pain, and i was sweating with nausea. ive been trying to research and apparently my body’s creating prostaglandins and labor could be very soon? could anyone share any experiences or thoughts please TIA!

To me, it sounds like yes you could be in labor soon!

where did you feel the pain ? i’ve been in quite a bit of pain also and don’t know why. i’m a ftm so im not even sure whats normal

@Chardai i’ve been feeling it around my lower back and mainly around the lower half of my belly

I would time the contractions, if they are closer and closer together: 1 min of contractions and 5 minutes in between then yes you're in labor, but just to make sure call your midwife or obg doctor 😉 *I had my last baby at 38 weeks, and my body started prepping 2 weeks before the actual labor

@Yessi Naomi thank you for your help 😊❤️

The diarrhea makes me think labor is soon! My body did that as well with my son. But I also lost my mucus plug days prior and my water broke. Try to be active today and count the contractions 🤍

Labor is near!

Girl as soon as I read diarrhea, yes! Labor is near! Definitely sounds like you’re in early labor or it’s about to start. I hope you have a smooth delivery and congratulations.

@Amber thank you so much!
