Any present ideas? not sure if I should focus more on toys for as soon as he opens them or toys for over the next few months/ year since he will only be about 7 months

We did some books for my daughter last yr since she didn't really get what was going on and was more interested in the wrapping paper. Will prob do that again this yr for my son
My eldest has a plush caterpillar that my LO covets, so he’ll be getting his own from Santa. I’ll probably also collect all of my first kiddos baby toys, give um a good wash, and wrap them in paper towels for LO. He’s pretty good at ripping paper towels and has fun doing it.
We are doing things we will need for this next stage! So things to get ready to start eating purées, sippy cups, bath toys, bigger towels, baby Walker, musical instruments, and fun teethers!
