When did you stop telling people your kid’s age in months?

My toddler just turned 20 months and now suddenly I feel like I’m being obnoxious when someone asks how old he is and I say 20 months 😂🤦‍♀️ I guess it just doesn’t flow as well as ___teen months. Should I keep it going or maybe I’ll just default to “he’s almost 2” 🤷‍♀️

You do what’s comfortable for you. I have had people around count all the way to 3 years in months.

Yeh I just said almost 2, then when he was 2 I just said 2 until he was 3 x

I think I started saying “nearly 2” after 20 months. 20 months still felt quite far from 2 and 21 months felt too awkward to say, but also near enough to 2 to give up on months.

The guideline I've heard is Rule of 2: days until 2 weeks, weeks until 2 months, months until 2 years. Seems logical to me. xD

I stopped counting months at 1 😂

I think that's fine after age 2 is when it's ridiculous
