@Constance thankyou x
Baby felt very low with a lot of pressure. Struggled to walk. Lower back pain. X
Agree with above you definitely know when you're in labour. Everyone experiences it differently but you just know x
Agreed with the others. I went into labor and gave birth 37 weeks + 6 days with my first. Well, I was induced (unplanned) and I had high blood pressure/preeclampsia too. I’d keep track of it and let your partner know to fly back home. Keep in touch with your doctor as well!
Braxton Hicks are not painful. You feel your stomach tighten and you are aware of that but it’s uncomfortable, not painful. Contractions will start like this but they will pick up in intensity and start coming closer together and get into a pattern. You can have weeks of B.H. Mine started at around 24 weeks and I was then induced, baby arrived at 40+6
My pain was mostly lower back which tightened my belly. It kinda took my breath away whereas braxton hicks didn’t do that they just seemed to be a tightening of the belly.
For me Braxton hicks were usually identifiable with my stomach just getting super tight. I didn’t have much pain if at all any with them. Just slightly uncomfortable. But I would also time them to see if there were any consistencies… sometimes they would last a good 30 minutes. The day I went into labor what started as what I thought were Braxton hicks progressively got worse and had more of a cramping feeling that was much more painful than anything I was experiencing previously. I know it’s hard to tell as a FTM. But trust me when I say you’ll know when you’re in labor and experiencing the real deal 😩 but being 37 weeks I would definitely be looking at having your partner near you more often than not at that stage of pregnancy baby can literally come at any time
